AboutPress

Press and media

Niekie is an independent safety index for online casinos. We score operators from records they cannot edit, licence registers, sanctions lists, complaints, and withdrawals we count leaving their wallets on public blockchains, and we publish the method and the data. Reporters are welcome to quote, cite and use it.

Quotable figures, as of October 27, 2026

  • Niekie rates 29 online casinos on a 0 to 100 safety score, recalculated daily from licence registers, sanctions lists, complaint records and on-chain payouts.
  • Over the last 30 days Niekie counted 90,341 withdrawals leaving the wallets of 20 crypto casinos on public blockchains.
  • BitStarz, Stake Casino and Shuffle share the top score, 88 out of 100; the lowest rated, Jackpota, scores 59.
  • Every score is sealed with a SHA-256 hash on a public ledger, 6,836 entries so far, so any figure can be recomputed and checked.

Counted live from the same data the site runs on. Cite as: Source: Niekie (niekie.app), with the date. Link to the operator's page, niekie.app/casino/<name>, when quoting a single score.

18 years auditing iGaming operators. Founded Niekie and wrote the scoring methodology: which signals count and what each is worth, the judgement the algorithm then applies identically to every operator.

Can speak to
  • How to check whether an online casino is safe before depositing
  • Offshore licences (Curaçao, Anjouan, Panama, Costa Rica) and what they do and do not protect
  • Bonus terms: wagering requirements, win caps and clauses that void winnings
  • Offshore and sweepstakes casinos used by US players
  • Hands-on casino testing: deposits, withdrawals, KYC and support
Maj Jan Krošl
Maj Jan Krošl Developer, Niekie

Built Niekie: the scoring pipeline, the license and sanctions checks, the public status pages and the browser extension. Runs the data side of the audit day to day.

Can speak to
  • Tracking casino withdrawals on public blockchains
  • What crypto casinos' public bet feeds reveal, and what they hide
  • Observed versus advertised RTP (return to player)
  • Building independent, reproducible ratings from public data

Data we can pull for a story

Which casinos actually pay out Withdrawals counted on-chain per operator, by day. Advertised RTP versus what players get Observed return per game from millions of settled rounds, with the sample behind each figure. Which studios' games pay nothing most often Share of losing rounds per game studio. Complaints and how they end Complaint counts and resolution rates per operator. The monthly data release CSV and JSON, hashed, free to use with attribution.

Need a cut we do not publish, one operator, one state, one month? Ask; if the data supports it we will run it and send the figures with the method.

Independence and disclosure

Some links to operators are affiliate links and may pay Niekie a commission; each is labelled. The scoring code never reads which ones do, no operator can pay for a position or a score, and every score is reproducible from published inputs. The full method is on how we score.

Niekie does not encourage gambling and gives no legal advice. Our responsible gambling page lists help lines by country.
